Water,Sanitation & Hygiene (W.A.S.H)
Access to water is not just a basic need; it’s a fundamental human right, essential for life itself. RACIDA enhances access to clean and portable water to households and their livestock by promoting rain water harvesting technologies to adapt to climate change through the establishment of underground water harvesting tanks, drilling of boreholes, as well as rehabilitation and improvement of water pans and shallow wells.

- Rehabilitation and solarization of 73 strategic boreholes, 31 earth pans, and 54 underground reservoir tanks/Berkads to serve 1,049,065 people and 4,964,852 TLUs.
- Trained 3,127 Water Resource User Association (WRUA) committees and 948 technicians on water governance.
- Reached 956,230 people through direct hygiene promotion campaigns.
- Installed 119 handwashing facilities in key community social amenities and outreach sites, serving over 300,758 people.
- Provided emergency potable water trucking services to 256,050 people affected by drought and conflict.
- Supported 352,689 people with WASH non-food items.
- Signed 158 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for water infrastructure governance.
